Overview

OSD Magic Mouse pairs an Apple Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard with a Windows 10 or 11 PC and makes them behave the way they do on a Mac.

It runs quietly from the notification area (system tray), starts when you sign in, and shows both devices' battery levels in the window, the tray tooltip and as a small color bar on the tray icon.

Features

  • Built-in pairing — search, pair and remove the Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard right in the app.
  • Battery levels for both devices, charging status and low-battery warnings.
  • Pointer settings — tracking speed, acceleration, double-click speed, swap buttons; your PC's own settings come back when the Magic Mouse disconnects.
  • Mac-style clicks — Control-click for right click, or click on the right side.
  • Gestures — one- or two-finger scrolling with natural scrolling and momentum, pinch to zoom, smart zoom, swipe between pages, Mission Control (Task View).*
  • Mac keyboard — ⌘ Command works as Ctrl, the Mac control key as the Windows key, and the media top row works (F7–F12, F3 Mission Control).
  • Application log and support file — one click to save logs, settings and a device report when you need help.

* Touch-surface gestures need multitouch data from the mouse. On a standard Windows install the built-in Bluetooth driver can hide it; a signed OSD touch driver is planned, and an optional test driver is available for testing.

Screenshots

Screenshots will be published with the public release.

Requirements

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • Bluetooth
  • Microsoft .NET 8 Desktop Runtime (the installer downloads it from Microsoft if needed)
  • Apple Magic Mouse and/or Magic Keyboard
  • No administrator rights needed for the app itself

Permissions

Capability Why the App needs it
Bluetooth To find, pair, remove and read the battery level of your Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard.
Mouse and keyboard input (on this PC only) To turn gestures and Mac key combinations into Windows actions. Keystrokes are never recorded or sent anywhere.
Run at sign-in / notification area So your settings and battery levels are available as soon as you sign in.
Optional test touch driver (administrator approval) Only if you choose to install it: exposes the mouse's touch surface so gestures work.
